The Beatles at the Queens.
It was like watching the original band. Well done Havering Council for organising the concert at the Queens Theatre. It was very enjoyable to see the tribute band perform. Their ‘Day in the life’, ‘The Taxman’ and ‘Twist and Shout’ songs were brilliant. I loved the version of ‘Birthday’ which I have not heard before. Can anyone sell me a cd of the White album or any other Beatles cd.
Party in the Park.
Another fine event organised by XFM Radio and Havering Council at Upminster. The rain beforehand ensured that there were plenty of seats and tables for those attending. They sang their way through the last 40 years and threw in a history of the events also. It was very enjoyable, The sun came out for those brave enough to attend given the rain earlier. Everyone who attended enjoyed themselves. Also we saw West Ham win their final on the Big Screen at the same time which cheered the crowd.
The lady who sang throughout on stage should be congratulated as she deserves to be famous one day as well as the band who performed many famous songs.
The Big Tv also provided fantastic visual effects when mixing the live band with the original group’s video of the same song.
